Canadian B2B company founded in 1977, a global leader in the reusable healthcare products in North America and Europe.They have been in the process of replatforming their existing website for a 1.5 years, starting with Shopify and then changing plan to switch to Magento 2.

Approach / Work done

Access Solutions team was introduced to the project to salvage the existing codebase and bail out the previous agency which realized that they do not have enough experience with Magento.

  • Access Solutions’ team quicking joined the project with minimal knowledge transfer and documentation that was partial and largely factually incorrect;
  • The first step was to set up the proper development process by syncing all environments by using production server as a blueprint, resetting all purpose branches to a consistent state, enforcing proper git-flow, development flow, introducing quality assurance process;
  • Technical assessment helped identify technical gaps and the backlog of tasks was prioritized together with the business stakeholder on the client side;

From that point on, the team had a clear roadmap with well-defined user stories and bug reports that could be monitored by the client and validated on multiple environments before a proper sign-off.

Project Results

Access Solutions had to rework 90% of the project in less than 4 months and get the client to the stage they were ready to go live with the new website.
