Approach / Work done
Our team was assigned the following tasks:
Restricting the ability to purchase products – using Custom Fields of products we realized restrictions for selling products only to certain groups of users;
Creating a template for bundled products – based on a product with the “Pick List” modifier, we created a custom template that allowed users to easily purchase products as a bundle consisting of the main product and decorations approved for their organization;
Changing the functionality of adding bundled products to cart – We had to create a custom add to cart due to the fact that it was not working out to set up proper data transfer to Acumatica when purchasing a product with the “Pick List” modifier. So we completely changed the way of adding batch products to cart so that all the required information was sent to Acumatica.
Updating the theme to the latest version – we needed to update the theme for some of its components to work correctly. We updated the theme to the latest version at the time, tested the updates, and sent the updated theme to an already running production.
Project Results
Sales Restriction and the new Bundled Products template has been built into the theme and successfully integrated with Acumatica.
